COVID-19 Prevention Policy
In order to reduce the possibility of COVID-19 transmission while attending a yoga session, at Julia K Yoga we ask that all students to follow the current government advice, do not attend if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms and if you do fall ill within 14 days of attending a class please let us know.
Before attending a class or workshop at the studio, please review these questions, if you answer yes to any of these please do not attend the class.
- Have you had any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours? High Temperature, Change or loss of smell, Change or loss of taste, A new, persistent cough
- Are you awaiting the results of a Covid-19 test?
- Are you waiting to have a Covid-19 test within the next 48 hours?
- Have you been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 within the last 5 days?
- Are you considered a Covid-19 high risk individual?
At Julia K Yoga we will be taking the following measures:
Conducting Temperature Checks:
We will conduct temperature checks for staff and students prior to entering the studio, anyone with a temperature will not be able to attend the session.
Limit People in Studio:
Classes will be limited to 50% capacity, this is to allow adequate space to maintain physical distancing.
Ask Screening Questions:
Students will be asked screening questions prior to entering the studio, anyone self identifying as having symptoms of COVID-19 will not be able to attend the session. Please see the questions to the top of this screen.
Provide Advance Notifications:
We will remind students of their responsibilities prior to attending the class.
Maintain Physical Distancing:
Students will be spaced to 2m while taking part in the practice, teachers will not be performing physical corrections and we ask that students maintain a 2m distance form one another at all times.
Require Face Coverings:
Please wear a mask while undergoing screening prior to entering the studio, and in any shared indoor spaces.
Require Hand Washing and Good Hygiene:
All students will be required to clean their hands, and use hand sanitiser prior to entering the studio.
Limit Contact Surfaces:
We would ask students to limit their contact with shared contact surfaces, and use hand sanitiser after touching these. We will ensure that shared contact surfaces that must be used, e.g. door handles, are cleaned before and after a class.
Restrict Use of Communal Mats and Props:
Students will be required to bring their own, equipment, and ensure it has been adequately cleaned beforehand.
Restrict Payment Options to Avoid Person-to-Person Contact:
Payment for classes must be performed electronically online, cash will not be accepted.
Maintain Records for Contact Tracing:
We will require full contact details for all students for contract tracing purposes.
Create Notice Mechanisms:
We have electronic communication facilities in place to communicate with students if contact tracing is required. We will of course be mindful of privacy and omit details about the person infected or suspected to be infected.
